Spring party
Patron, Laura Mcardle, Louis Sainsbury, their family members, friends and supporters enjoyed a Spring picnic lunch with an Easter theme. We sat in a circle and sang to guitar accompaniment provided by David Waring, from F Sharp Music. David had prepared a list of familiar favourites with Louis. Laura’s favourite was ‘Twinkle twinkle little star’ and Louis’s was ‘If you’re happy and you know it ..’

Coming Home Implementation Report
BBC Scotland Home Affairs correspondent, Lucy Adams, told the story in March 2022 of Mum, Sylvia, and her son, Jamie, currently detained in hospital. Sylvia faces a move for Jamie, to England, hundreds of miles away, for assessment. Kate and Sylvia were pleased to share experiences on the phone before meeting online through the group, New Roots home, which advocates for the rights of detained people.
