National Galleries of Scotland Art Workshop for people with profound (‘wise, deep’) learning disabilities

In September 2025, NGS at Modern One, held an art workshop for people with PMLD. Much preparation had gone into making the space feel safe for participants. Maureen Phillip of PAMIS, a Trustee of the Aiteal Trust, had contributed greatly to this. Louis Sainsbury attended, with two of his carers and his mum. Louis loved the activity, stretching coloured tape on a prepared surface. He later adapted this back home. Thanks to NGS, look forward to more.
